Abraham Art - Aifo

Aifo

“Aifo” is a graffiti duo, or as they define it family, consisted of Stepa and Alina, two street artists representing Tel-Aviv and Yekaterinburg. Stepa and Alina began to engage in street art in Yekaterinburg, creating their first graffiti works and participating in exhibitions and festivals. In 2012, the couple founded the first street art gallery in Russia “Sweater”, which served as a platform for dialogue and for their first serious artistic experiments. However, the understanding of their style and the acceptance of oneself, took place in Tel Aviv. There, they say, artists live and work at the present time: “Once we were able to relax, we could accept our own characteristics, what we love in street art and just start concentrating on it.” A distinctive feature of their style is a clear outline, working with mythology and reinterpretation of fonts. Aifo consider themselves post-graffiti authors, as they keep a tradition of working with fonts and play with the shape of letters. The font they make becomes a new architecture, an item of interior or jewelry of their heroes.
